Giving & Communion
Giving is an act of worship and an expression of the love God has poured into our hearts.
Stewardship
Why We Give
Giving is a biblical privilege and a spiritual act of worship. At Laurel Street, our giving supports the work of the gospel — evangelism, edification of the church, and benevolence toward those in need. Every gift, no matter the size, is an expression of gratitude to God and love for our neighbor.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7
Evangelism
Supporting the spread of the gospel in San Antonio and around the world through missions and outreach.
Edification
Strengthening our church family through teaching, worship, and programs that build up the body of Christ.
Benevolence
Caring for those in need — through our Food Pantry, community assistance, and acts of compassion.
The Lord's Supper
Communion
We observe the Lord's Supper every Sunday, just as the early church did. It is a sacred time when we remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ — His body broken and His blood shed for the forgiveness of our sins.
All baptized believers are welcome to partake. If you are not yet a Christian, we invite you to use this time to reflect on the gospel and consider the gift of salvation that Christ offers.
“For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.” — 1 Corinthians 11:26
